As the primary power source for new energy development, scrap lithium-ion batteries have seen a spiral increase in volume alongside the rising sales of electric vehicles. Today, we will discuss the entire process of recycling, crushing, and powder-making for lithium-ion batteries, providing a comprehensive understanding of the disassembly, crushing, and powder-making of lithium-ion batteries.

Currently, discharge methods primarily use either saltwater discharge or discharge instruments. Shredding equipment is divided into two categories: one type is nitrogen-based explosion-proof equipment capable of processing charged batteries, while the other is only suitable for discharged cells to prevent short circuits and fires.

After shredding, the material is further crushed by a crusher and undergoes preliminary powder separation, recovering approximately 70% of the black powder while separating the metal casing and separator. The remaining positive and negative electrode sheets are subjected to secondary crushing and then screened through a drum screen for secondary separation, collecting additional black powder. Subsequently, a gravity airflow separator is used to separate the separator from the positive and negative electrode sheets.

The remaining copper-aluminum material containing a small amount of black powder enters a grinding and screening integrated machine, where it is ground and then separated into copper and aluminum using an airflow density separator, ultimately collecting all the black powder.

The lithium-ion battery recycling process comprehensively employs crushing, screening, grinding, and various separation technologies, resulting in a complex process. Actual production line configurations may vary depending on specific requirements.
